Mopar AC System Parts
The factory air system that came with your vehicle is well-equipped to keep you cool, warm, and comfortable no matter how frightful the weather might be. When it comes to cooling your cabin, there are three main components to your system. They are the compressor, the condenser, and the evaporator. The compressor is a pump that's driven by a belt attached to the engine crankshaft. It draws gaseous refrigerant in, places it under pressure, and pushes it out to the condenser. The condenser cools the refrigerant gas into a liquid form. The liquid then flows through an expansion valve, becomes a gas again, but at low pressure. The evaporator cools the gas down and removes heat from the cabin as a fan blows the cool air through ducts into the passenger compartment. Heating, by contrast, is a much simpler process. Hot coolant is drawn from the engine into a heater core. A front mount fan blows outside air over the core fins, releasing the warmer air into the cabin.

Over time, even the best HVAC systems can start to suffer. Hoses can get brittle or break. Seals can weaken. Even the compressor can fail. If your AC isn't cooling you down, first check the cabin air filter. If that's not the problem, look for signs that your refrigerant is leaking or low. Fortunately, the solution is right at hand. Buy the original Mopar AC system parts you need from our online auto parts store, and you're sure to get the best parts for your model. Order yours today and we'll ship them right out!
