Mopar Fuel System Parts

The factory fuel system in your vehicle stores fuel and supplies it to the engine as needed. While fuel systems vary from engine to engine, they're all the same in one way. They have to deliver fuel to the engine's combustion chamber, and they have to control the amount delivered to maintain the proper fuel-to-air ratio. Sounds simple, but there are many parts to the system, with each serving a key role. The fuel tank stores the gasoline. A fuel pump pulls the fuel out to send it to your engine. In older vehicles the fuel pump might be attached to the engine or on the frame; with newer models, it's generally installed within the fuel tank itself. The fuel filter cleans impurities from the gasoline before it enters the engine. That keeps your carburetor or fuel injectors clear of impediments that can clog them up. Older cars may still be equipped with a carburetor, but most automakers have done away with them in favor of fuel injectors that improve efficiency and emissions.

Find the Best OEM Fuel System for Your Vehicle

Of course, there are a lot of other smaller parts that go into your fuel system. These include hoses, tubes, manifolds, and more. Any part of your fuel system can eventually begin to fail. Look for the signs and be prepared to remedy the situation. Signs include slow acceleration, trouble starting your engine, rough idling, stalling, and a noticeable fuel smell. If you experience any of these, make sure to use the original Mopar parts that are designed to work with your model's fuel system. They can be found in our online catalog. We have a huge selection of parts for your ride at our auto parts counter, so all you need to do is place your order and we'll ship them right to you!
